Intro Business Model & Scope

Party on the Seas operates as a bareboat charter service.

Only the $150 booking fee is subject to this refund policy. Captain fees and fuel charges are handled directly between the customer and the captain, and are not refundable through Party on the Seas.

Section 1 Customer-Initiated Cancellations
1.1 — 24+ Hours Notice

Customers who cancel their charter at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for:

  • Full credit of the $150 booking fee toward a future charter, valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
  • No cash refunds. All cancellations result in credit only.
1.2 — Less Than 24 Hours Notice

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled charter start time are eligible for:

  • 50% credit of the $150 booking fee ($75) toward a future charter, valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
  • The remaining 50% is retained to cover captain confirmation fees, vessel preparation, and fuel that has already been committed.
1.3 — No-Shows

If the customer does not arrive at the dock within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time and has not communicated with Party on the Seas, the charter is considered a no-show:

  • The $150 booking fee is forfeited in full.
  • No credit will be issued.
  • Captain fees and fuel charges (if already incurred) remain the responsibility of the customer per their direct agreement with the captain.
1.4 — How to Cancel

Cancellations must be submitted through one of the following channels:

The cancellation timestamp is based on when Party on the Seas receives the cancellation notice, not when the customer sends it.

Section 2 Weather-Related Cancellations
2.1 — Who Decides

The decision to cancel or proceed with a charter due to weather is made by the independent captain assigned to the charter, based on U.S. Coast Guard safety guidelines and current maritime conditions. The captain's decision is final and is made in the interest of guest safety.

2.2 — Weather Policy

If the captain determines that weather conditions are unsafe for the charter to proceed:

  • The customer is entitled to reschedule the charter at no additional cost to a date within 12 months of the original booking date.
  • Subject to vessel and captain availability on the requested rescheduled date.
  • No cash refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations. Only rescheduling is available.
2.3 — What Qualifies as Unsafe Weather

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Sustained winds above 20 knots
  • Small Craft Advisory or stronger warnings from the National Weather Service
  • Thunderstorms, lightning, or severe weather in the charter area
  • Unsafe sea state as determined by the captain

Light rain, overcast skies, or mild weather does not qualify as unsafe conditions and the charter will proceed as scheduled. If the customer chooses not to proceed under mild conditions, standard cancellation terms apply (see Section 1).

Section 3 Party on the Seas–Initiated Cancellations

In the rare event that Party on the Seas must cancel a charter (mechanical issues, captain unavailability, or other operational reasons):

Section 4 Credits
4.1 — Validity Period

All credits issued under this policy are valid for 12 months from the date of the originally scheduled charter.

4.2 — How to Redeem

Credits are applied at the time of booking the replacement charter. Customers must reference their original booking number or email when redeeming.

4.3 — Transferability

Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the original purchaser.

4.4 — Expiration

Credits that are not used within the 12-month validity period expire and have no monetary value. Expired credits cannot be reinstated.

Section 5 Chargebacks and Disputes
5.1 — Dispute Resolution

Before initiating a chargeback with your credit card issuer, customers are encouraged to contact Party on the Seas directly so we can resolve any concerns:

5.2 — Chargeback Response

Party on the Seas will respond to all chargeback disputes with documentation including:

  • This cancellation policy (agreed to at time of booking)
  • Booking confirmation email sent to the customer
  • Communication records

Section 7 Changes to This Policy
